MIDWEST CITY WILDFIRE SATURDAY

SAME STORY, DIFFERENT DAY
We got another evacuation order today. Second one in three days. Today, the fire started about a mile due east of us. But the wind was blowing straight out of the east, blowing the fire right at us. It didn't look like much, but as you can see, it got worse fast. The wind started swinging from the southeast just in time. This fire got closer to our house than the last, but was smaller. And there were plenty of resources available to fight it. Many thanks to all the emergency responders. Special thanks to the KOCO and Sky News 9 chopper crew. They provided an aerial observation platfrom for the firefighters. The firefighters were still working the hot spots in the dark until a little after 9:00, when it started to rain.
